rip rap and restore approximately 475' of collapsed stream bank
on the Sugar River in the village, just upstream of NYS Route 26, behind the Sanitary
Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project is necessary to protect the integrity of the

This Department has
received a request to issue a permit and has drafted an Article 19
(Air Pollution Control)
of the Environmental Conservation Law, an Air State Facility Permit, at
the
facility located
at Alcoa Massena Operations, Massena, NY 13662.
The Department has
made a tentative determination to approve the application of the Alcoa
Massena Operations facility, a primary and secondary aluminum production operation. The Air
State Facility permit allows the modification and operation of Emission sources M003E and
M0036. Each flux box is part of the secondary aluminum production process. Each flux box will
be "inerted" or, modified or replaced, so as not to emit pollutants to the atmosphere. There
will
be an overall reduction of air pollution from these units.
The draft permit
with conditions is available for review in the Region 6 NYS DEC office in
Watertown, New York.
