Project Description: One existing bathroom facility in loop E will be replaced. The new facility will be ADA compliant. The footprint of the site will be increased slightly, primarily due to enlarged leach fields. The total project area is ˝ of an acre. Forty-three trees will be removed, most to make room for leach field placement. There are no wetlands or threatened or endangered plants on the project site. Any tree cutting will be in compliance with the Commissioner’s Delegation Memorandum #84-06 on Tree Cutting in the Forest Preserve and LF Policy 91-2 on Cutting, Removal or Destruction of Trees and Other Vegetation on Forest Preserve Lands.

Project Title: Modification of the Stillwater Boat Launch to Make Accessible for People with Disabilities and Improve Utility for the General Public

Project Location: Town of Webb, at the terminus of the Stillwater Road at the west end of the Stillwater Reservoir, on the Stillwater Intensive Use Area
Project Description: Improve the Stillwater boat launch to make accessible by widening of the ramp, installation of skid/floating docks, creation of two accessible parking spaces and an accessible path. The two accessible parking spaces will be an expansion of the existing spaces. The accessible path will extend from the parking area to the existing kiosk to the boat launch. This project is required under the Galusha Settlement Consent Order.
Herkimer County - The Town of Warren, Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Jordanville Wind Power Project. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on Thursday June 29, 2006 at 6:00 pm at Owen D. Young School ,Van Hornesville and Wednesday July 12, 2006 at 6:00 pm at Town of Warren Town Hall Jordanville. Public comments are requested and will be accepted by the contact person until July 28, 2006. The action involves development of a wind- powered generating facility of up to 150 megawatts (MW) in the Towns of Warren and Stark, New York that will include approximately 75 wind turbines, each with a generating capacity of 2.0 MW. Each wind turbine will include an 87- meter (285 foot) diameter, three bladed rotor mounted on a 78 – meter (256 foot) tall steel tubular tower.
The project is proposed to include two meteorological towers, 21 miles of access roads, 41 miles of electrical interconnect, a collection substation, a 0.8- mile long overhead 230 kilovolt (kV) transmission line, an interconnection substation, a centrally located, temporary construction staging area(s), and an operations and maintenance (O&M) facility.
The project is located in Herkimer County, south of the Mohawk River Valley in the Towns of Warren and Stark. The project area totals approximately 6,225 acres of private land (approximately 77 separate parcels), and is located approximately 5 miles south of the Hamlet of German Flatts and Village of Herkimer, 5 miles north of the Village of Richfield Springs, and 2 miles west of the Hamlet of Starkville ( as measured to the nearest turbine).
