Project Description: The action involves a proposed increase to a previously approved commercial sand and gravel extraction 12.0 acre Life of Mine area by an additional 7.0 acres over next 10 to 15 years. Annual production is to continue with a maximum removal of 28,000 cubic yards of sand and gravel. Material processing will include the occasional use of a portable crushing plant and a portable screening plant. A maximum of 30 dump truck loads of sand and gravel are to be removed from the project site per day.

Project Description: The proposed project is a major public utility use involving the installation of two new 80-foot tall lattice towers, and installation of radio equipment and solar panels on existing and previously Agency permitted towers, and on Goodnow Mountain fire tower at an elevation greater than 2500 feet, a statutorily designated Critical Environmental Area (CEA). The towers are being utilized for environmental research purposes and are funded by a grant by the National Science Foundation.

Project Description: The action involves an existing telecommunications tower and the removal of two existing 16-foot tall whip antennas (previously permitted to New York RSA 2 [Verizon] in Agency Permit P2000-56) and installation of 6 new (2 sets of three flush-mounted) panel antennas. The action also involves the co-location of an additional 3 new (1 set of three flush mounted) panel antennas and installation of a new equipment shed by Nextel Partners, Inc. There will be no net increase in the overall 56-foot height of the existing tower. No changes are proposed to the existing access drive.

Project Description: The action involves after-the-fact approval for the construction of a 40 foot x 86 foot private clubhouse structure for the snowmobile club with caretaker’s quarters, and includes on-site water supply, an on-site wastewater treatment system, parking and aboveground storage tanks for propane (1000 gallons), and gasoline (500 gallons). The applicants seek approval for a new commercial use involving the sale of food, alcohol, and gasoline to club members only.

The action involves construction and operation of a 68-tower wind energy facility in the Town of Altona, NY, including access roads, electric utility lines, substation and related infrastructure.
