The applicant proposes to
treat Spring Lake (AKA Little Buck Mountain Pond) with the
aquatic herbicides Sonar (active ingredient: fluridone) and Rodeo (active ingredient:
glyphosate) for the control of nuisance aquatic growth. The project site is located
generally west of the intersection of Farmers Mills Road and Gipsy Trail Road. A portion
of State-designated Freshwater Wetland LC-4 is located within Spring Lake.
Approximately 9 acres of the 19-acre lake would be treated with Sonar for the control of
largeleaf pondweed and watershield, and approximately 1 acre of lake would be treate
with Rodeo for the control of Phragmites australis.

The applicant proposes demolition
and landscaping activities within the 100-foot adjacent
area of State-designated Freshwater Wetland NA-4 (Class I). The project site is located
between Pine View Road and the Hackensack River, on the east side of Western Highway
(County Route 15). The proposal involves the demolition of an existing concrete pad of
approximately 900 square feet, removal of an existing metal shed of approximately 200
square feet and removal of an existing gravel driveway. The disturbed portions of the
100-foot adjacent area will be landscaped with native plant species and allowed to revert
to a natural condition. Additional site improvements will be constructed outside the
regulated wetland and 100-foot adjacent area, which include new commercial storage,
office and operation buildings.
