Negative Declaration

Oneida County - The Town of Verona, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Verona Water Improvement No. 2 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves construction of approximately 27,000 linear feet of water main along Old Oneida Road, Spring Road, Hill Road, Fox Road, Foster Corners Road, Foster Street, and Main Street (Durhamville) in the Town of Verona.

Notice Of Acceptance Of Final EIS

Jefferson County - The Town of Watertown Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Town Center at Watertown. The action involves the Town of Watertown Planning Board considering site plan and subdivision approval to permit the development of approximately 426,400 square feet of retail/restaurant space in the Town of Watertown. The project is located on the south side of New York State Route 3, Arsenal Street Road, approximately 3,000 feet west of Interstate 81. In general, this portion of NYS Route 3 is a commercial corridor in the Town of Watertown. In the project's vicinity, the corridor has a commercial focus with large-scale retail development and restaurants along both the north and south sides of NYS Route 3. Copies of the FEIS are available for public inspection at: Watertown Town Hall and will be posted for viewing on the following website: www.corcompanies.com.

The development is anticipated to be constructed in two phases. The majority of the first phase, estimated to consist of approximately 181,562 square feet of retail development, was previously constructed after COR received site plan approval which was later annulled by the New York State Appellate Division, Fourth Judicial Department. At this time, an 88,400 square foot building occupied by Kohl's Department Store and a 93,202 square foot building partially occupied by Bed, Bath & Beyond exist on the Site. Also as part of this construction, earthwork, erosion and sediment controls, rough grading and installation of utility infrastructure continued until a stop work order was issued by a New York State court.
