| Project Description: | |
|
The applicant has proposed to renew and modify their current Mined Land Reclamation permit for the Teidman Road Bank mine to add ~7 acres to the current ~12-acre life-of-mine (LOM) area, to total approximately 19 acres. The project site is situated on a contiguous +/- 1000-acre parcel which is located approximately 1.5 miles north of the intersection of Lottville, Belden Corners and Teidman Roads. The mine will continue to operate as a traditional surface extraction of sand and gravel by means of mechanical excavating and processing by portable screen, standard for this type of mining operation. Additionally, the applicant also proposes to excavate a 0.6-acre pond as part of the final reclamation of the site. No other changes to any operational aspect of the mine are proposed. Application materials are available for public review and comment at the NYS DEC Warrensburg Sub-Office.
