Chemung County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Drilling Permit Application for East Resources, Inc. Proposed Hackett #1 Natural Gas Well Located within Chemung County Agricultural District #4 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves drilling a natural gas well in the Town of Southport, Chemung County located within Chemung County Agricultural District #4. Drilling operations will be conducted in accordance with the drilling permit issued and rules and regulations of the Department. The total area proposed to be disturbed during the initial construction phase for the well site and access road is 123,000 square feet or approximately 2.8 acres. After the well has been drilled, it will be put into production or plugged and abandoned. The well pad and access road areas for a producing well will be reduced to 32,500 square feet or approximately 0.75 acres and the remaining disturbed areas reclaimed. If the well is plugged and abandoned, the site will be reclaimed. The project is located on E. Hackett property at the intersection of Kinner Hill Road and Strock Road. The project is located in the Town of Southport, Chemung County.

Livingston County - The Town of Groveland, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of the Town of Groveland Wind Towers/Energy Conservation System Law will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves adopting wind tower/wind energy conversion systems regulations as a guidance document for future decisions concerning the health, safety and welfare of the community.
