The Department has received
an application to extend the water supply and distribution
system of Livingston County Water District #1 and to take for use therein a supply of
water up to 500,000 gallons per day from the Authority's City of Rochester upland
supply. This project includes the installation of 9,500 linear feet of 12 inch transmission
main to serve the Village and Town of Geneseo. The proposed route of the water main
has been revised and will now proceed south along the Conesus Lake Outlet, cross the
Conesus Lake Outlet and proceed back lots to the intersection with NYS Route 256. The
Conesus Lake Outlet crossing will be completed by directional drilling. The Department
has made a tentative determination to approve this application. As a tentative
determination, the Department is seeking public comments prior to making a final
decision about permit issuance.

This notice serves as a
correction to a notice previously published on March 16, 2006.
The Town of Seneca Falls proposes to extend the water supply and distribution system of
the district into its Seneca Falls Water Improvement Areas 1 & 2 and to take for use
therein a supply of water estimated to average 26,600 gallons per day from the Village of
Seneca Falls Cayuga Lake Source. The project includes the installation of 86,600 linear
feet of 8" water main and appurtenances to serve 124 single family residences and a milk
refrigeration business. The Town will not be acquiring the permissive service areas of the
Village of Seneca Falls. The file is available for review and comment at the NYSDEC
Region 8 office.
