Negative Declaration

Albany County - The Town of Colonie Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed DePoalo Self Storage Buildings will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves Construction of four one-story self storage buildings totaling 30,395 sq. ft. The project is located at 296 Morris Road in the Town of Colonie, Albany County.

Albany County - The Town of Colonie Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Intermagnetics General Corp. Addition will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves Construction of a 48,000 sq. ft. manufacturing and 60,000 sq. ft. warehouse addition and 124 car parking lot expansion to the existing facility. The project is located at 450 Old Niskayuna Road in the Town of Colonie, Albany County.

Delaware County - The Town of Andes as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Acquisition of Ballantine Park as a Town Park will not have an adverse environmental impact. The action involves Town of Andes proposing to purchase the tract of land known as “Ballantine Park” along the Tremperskill Brook , consisting of 2.69 acres on the north side of Tremperskill Road, also called Lower Main Street in the Hamlet of Andes, Town of Andes.

Notice Of Acceptance Of Draft EIS And Public Hearing

Albany County - The New York State Thruway Authority, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed New York State Thruway Reconstruction and Mobility Improvements between Interchanges 23 to 24. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on March 14, 2006, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM on at Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Church, 400 Whitehall Road, Albany, NY 12208. At the public hearing, engineering, traffic, environmental, and right-of-way aspects of the project will be covered briefly in the formal presentation. At the public hearing, all interested persons will be given the opportunity to express their view concerning the economic and social effects of the action, its impact on the environment and its consistency with the goals and objectives promulgated by the community. The proceedings will be recorded. Persons may make oral statements and/or file written statements. Written statements submitted at the hearing or mailed and received before March 31, 2006 at the Project Manager’s office will be made part of the record. The New York State Thruway Authority is developing design studies for the proposed reconstruction and operational improvements on the New York State Thruway between Interchanges 23 and 24. Mobility improvements, such as the addition of a travel lane in each direction, have been evaluated. This project will also include the reconstruction of the drainage facilities and vertical clearance improvements at overhead bridges. This project does not include Interchange 23 or 24 ramps and toll plazas. The project will start at milepost 141.3 and extend to milepost 148.0. The total length of the project is 6.74 miles, located in the Town of Guilderland, Town of Bethlehem, and City of Albany, Albany County. A Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) has been completed for this action which assesses the effect of the project on: noise, air quality, water quality, property impacts, cultural and historic resources, hazardous waste, ecosystems, threatened species, visual resources, and environmentally sensitive lands.
