ENB Region 7 Completed Applications 02/01/2006

This notice supplements a public notice that appeared in the Environmental Notice Bulletin on October 5, 2005 for the proposed Whitney Point Sewage Treatment Plant.  In addition to the information reagrding the proposed 150,000 gpd discharge and the impact to 0.048 acres of United States Army Corps of Engineers jurisdictional freshwater wetland, the notice should have identified the construction of a concrete outfall structure at the bank of the Tioughnioga River and the construction of a small (less than 100 square feet) splash pad that will be constructed with medium stone in the bed of the river.

Applicant proposes to install 350' of riprap along the north bank of the Unadilla River to prevent further erosion and flooding.  Project is located at 2521 State Highway 8, South New Berlin.

The Onondaga County Department of Water Environment Protection Agency proposes to culvert 694 linear feet of Meadow Brook, replace 2 culverts, reconstruct and improve 1,301 linear feet of channel with trapezoidal cross section and stream substrate using stone material, relocate channel away from Meadowbrook Drive and improve flood plain. This project involves Meadow Brook in the City of Syracuse along Meadow Brook Drive from Hurlbert Road to Hillsboro Parkway.
