Negative Declaration

Broome County - The State University Construction Fund, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed SUCF Project 07486, Construct Downtown Academic Building (Binghamton University Education and Community Development Center) will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves construction of an approximately 74,000 GSF building on a 2.23 acre site located within the City of Binghamton in Broome County. Building will be situated between the River Walk along the east side of the Chenango River and the west side of Washington Street; bordered on the north and south by Stuart Street and Susquehanna Street, respectively.

Notice Of Acceptance Of Final EIS

Tompkins County - The Tompkins County Legislature, as lead agency has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Public Safety Communications System. The action involves construction and installation of facilities for a new Public Safety communications network. The proposed action includes nine tower sites, four of which are new tower sites; others are upgrades to existing facilities or co-location on existing towers. New towers will be less than 200 feet tall, constructed of galvanized steel, free standing, and without lights. Towers will be equipped with a number of various types of antenna and microwave dishes. Site facilities will include access drives, pre-cast concrete shelters for emergency generators and electrical equipment, above-ground propane tanks, security fencing, and electrical service.
