ENB Region 6 Completed Applications 12/14/2005

The applicant proposes to construct an 840 square foot boat house on the south shore of Fourth Lake, north of Petrie Road and just west of Shelter Island. In order to provide access to the boat house, 38 cubic yards of material will be dredged from the lake bottom and shoreline. In addition the applicant proposes to rip-rap 225 feet of shoreline.

The Town of Brownville proposes to extend Brownville Water District No.1 with 2,600 GPD taken from WD No.1 to supply 15 residents. Two of the propoerties are located on Cemetery Road, past the General Brown Central School District Bus Garage Facility. The remaining thirteen properties are located along NYS Rte. 12E, south of the Hamlet of Limerick. The proposed project includes installation of copper water service laterals and water service meters.

The applicant proposes to develop a 9.75 acre sand and gravel mine on a 62.2 acre parcel owned by Bradley and Eleanor Farr, Main Street, Natural Bridge, New York 13665. Access to the site will be immediately west of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.  The mine site is approximately 1500' north of New York State Route 3 (Main Street).  There is evidence of some past mining on this site.  Mining will take place using a front end loader and dump trucks.  On site processing may occur using a portable dry processing plant.  No Saturaday operation is proposed.

The applicant, Dennis Burns, proposes to operate a sand and gravel mine on a 70 acre parcel under his ownership. The life of mine boundary will be 18.4 acres, with 5 acres of affected land proposed for the first five-year permit term. There will be no processing of material on site. Mined material will be marketed as "run-of-bank" gravel. The facility is located approximately 1,300 feet north of the intersection of Roberts Road and Lake Julia Road.

The applicant, Roy Scoville, proposes to operate a sand and gravel mine on a 123.5 acre parcel under his ownership. The life of mine boundary will be 30 acres, with 4.5 acres of affected land proposed for the first 5 year permit term. The facility, which will undertake on-site processing of mining products, will be located immediately north west of the intersection of California Road and Preston Hill Road.
