Notice Of Acceptance Of Draft EIS And Public Hearing

Erie County - The Hamburg Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Milestrip Rd. (BestBuy/Retail Plaza). A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on December 5, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. at the Town of Hamburg Town Hall, S 1600 South Park Ave., Hamburg, NY. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until December 19, 2005. The action involves construction of an approximately 61,000 square foot retail building (including Best Buy) on approximately 12 acres. The project also includes associated parking, landscaping, and access drive, sanitary sewer, water, storm drainage, and other necessary site improvements and infrastructure. The action requires a change in zoning from R-2, single-family residence to C-2, general commercial for approximately 7 cares of the 12-acre site. The project is located on Milestrip Rd. (at 1-90 - Exit 56) Town of Hamburg.

A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on November 21, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town of Hamburg Town Hall, S 1600 South Park Ave., Hamburg, NY. Written comments on the Draft EIs will be accepted until December 5, 2005. The action involves the rezoning of approximately 28 acres of land from C-1, Local Retail Business District to C-2, General Commercial District, and the subsequent development of a business park, including roads, utilities and other site improvements. The project is located at Town of Hamburg - Southwestern Blvd. (US Route 20) & South Park Ave. (US Route 62).
