The applicant proposes three
additions, 2.85 acres total, to the existing 40 acre mine and
to excavate up to 21 feet deeper. Two additions involve the elimination of set-backs
along the Youngs Road right-of-way, including minor use of the highway right-of-way,
east and west of the "Old Amish Church Cemetery", for overburden stockpiling. The
third adds 0.96 acres owned by Mr. John Hersberger as well as the set-back between this
addition and the current mine boundary, also for overburden stockpiling. No other
changes, including the agricultural reclamation objective, are proposed. This mine is
located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Youngs Road with New York State
Route 62.

stabilize approximately 330 linear feet of severely eroding
stream bank along Eighteenmile Creek using rock riprap, two grade control structures to
control downcutting of the stream bed and vegetative plantings above the rock. Site
preparation will include removal of a log jam, skimming of an on-site gravel bar for use
as earth fill and bank shaping to obtain desired slopes. The project is located at 6304
Patchin Road and is approximately 800 feet southeast of the intersection of Patchin and
Back Creek Roads.
