The Sauquoit Creek Basin
Intermunicipal Commission (Commission) will implement;
gravel removal, clearing and snagging of log jams, selective cutting of streambank and
floodplain vegetation as maintenance activities along portions of Sauquoit Creek as
specifically identified on the Sauquoit Creek Permit Map.
It is intended that municipalities
which are members of the Commission will share
responsibility to abide by guidelines and stipulations mutually agreed upon between the
Commission and Department of Environmental Conservation.
The Sauquoit Creek Permit
Map is anticipated to be amended from time to time to include
additional reaches of Sauquoit Creek, including major tributaries, as Commission member
municipalities mutually agree to participate in carrying out maintenance activities
consistent with the conditions of this permit.
