Project Description:
The Sauquoit Creek Basin Intermunicipal Commission (Commission) will implement; gravel removal, clearing and snagging of log jams, selective cutting of streambank and floodplain vegetation as maintenance activities along portions of Sauquoit Creek as specifically identified on the Sauquoit Creek Permit Map.

It is intended that municipalities which are members of the Commission will share responsibility to abide by guidelines and stipulations mutually agreed upon between the Commission and Department of Environmental Conservation.

The Sauquoit Creek Permit Map is anticipated to be amended from time to time to include additional reaches of Sauquoit Creek, including major tributaries, as Commission member municipalities mutually agree to participate in carrying out maintenance activities consistent with the conditions of this permit.
State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:
Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was performed.
SEQR Lead Agency:
NYS Department of Environmental Conservation
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
A Structural-Archaeological Assessment Form has been completed. The proposed activity will not impact on registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
Opportunity for Public Comment:
Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Nov 18 2005.
