Oneida County - Pursuant to the NYS Clean Water/Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and the State Environmental Quality Review Act, the Village of Bridgewater, as lead agency, has determined that the Village of Bridgewater Municipal Water Supply Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. A preliminary engineering report has been prepared by Richard Elliot, P.E., of Cazenovia NY that describes development of a public water supply system to serve the Village of Bridgewater. The proposed project would develop one or more new water supply wells, construct a water storage tank, provide treatment and disinfection of the water supply, and extend water supply mains, meters, meter pits as needed and fire hydrants throughout the Village of Bridgewater. The project would provide water mains through each of the privately owned and operated mobile home parks in the Village. The project would address problems with widespread documented microbiological contamination of private water supplies, surface filtration rule compliance for one or more privately owned water purveyors, and provide potable water and fire protection services throughout the village. The project is located in the Village of Bridgewater, Oneida County.
