Consolidated SPDES Renewals
Nassau County - The Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Great Neck Estates, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Request to Rescind, Modify and/or Alter Conditional Use Permit and Declaration of Restrictive Covenants, Sonia & Max Silverstein Hebrew Academy may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A public scoping session will be held when a draft scope is submitted by the applicant. The action involves the applicant requesting that the Village Board of Trustees rescind, modify and/or alter the conditional use permit and declaration of restrictive covenants relating to the Max & Sonia Silverstein Hebrew Academy, Inc. Among other things, the request would result in the potential increased enrollment and staff at the Hebrew Academy, additional traffic, additional parking demand, a change in vehicular circulation, site activities seven days a week and twelve months a year, access by standard school buses and potential increased parent-teacher conferences and special events. The project is located at 117 Cutter Mill Road, Great Neck Estates, New York.
