Negative Declaration

Albany County - The Town of Guilderland, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Voorheesville/Guilderland Interconnect Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves connecting the water distribution systems of the Village of Voorheesville and the Town of Guilderland to provide an emergency water supply source for the respective communities. The project includes the construction of 2,600 linear feet of 8-inch water main and appurtenances, a pump station, and miscellaneous improvements around the pump station. The project is located on Grant Hill Road.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS And Public Hearing

Albany County - The Albany City School District Board of Education, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Albany City School District High School Master Plan & Outdoor Athletic Master Plan. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on October 6, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Albany High School, 700 Washington Ave., Albany, NY. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until October 24, 2005. The action involves proposed improvements detailed within the Albany City School Districtís Development Plan, and the Outdoor Athletics Facilities Master Plan for the Albany High School, Philip Livingston Magnet Academy, and William Hackett Middle School. Proposed improvements include:

Albany High School: 700 Washington Ave, Albany, NY 12203. Four wings, beginning at the second level, will be added to the west side of the existing school building. Additional construction includes a new gym and theater. New lab space, media center/ library facilities and multi functional project space will be established within a centralized location. Additionally, a 4,000 seat stadium, 9 tennis courts and a multi-purpose field are proposed.

Philip Livingston: 315 Northern Boulevard, Albany, NY 12210. A baseball field with a 500 seat grandstand, 1,000 seat soccer stadium field, and 2 practice irrigated soccer fields with overlaying baseball and softball fields are proposed.

William Hackett Middle School: 45 Delaware Avenue, Albany, NY 12202. An irrigated practice softball field with soccer field overlay is proposed.
