| Project is Located: | Greenwood, Steuben County |
| Project Description: | |
|
Under the supervision of
the Steuben County Soil and Water Conservation District, the
applicant proposes to move recently deposited gravel and woody debris in order to re-establish a channel
within Bennett's Creek to alleviate the current bank erosion. The
project also includes placement of approximately 200 feet of sloped rock riprap to divert
the flow into the original stream channel and create a stream bank. The existing channel
will be left in place for use as a high-flow channel. Excess gravel not used on the eroded
banks will be removed by the Steuben County Highway Department. All disturbed areas
will be seeded and mulched.
