6 NYCRR Part 42, Sanitary control over shellfish
Pursuant to the Environmental Conservation Law §§ 13–0309 and 13–0319, the Department of Environmental Conservation hereby gives notice of the following:
Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for 6NYCRR Part 42 relating to sanitary control over shellfish. This notice will be published in issue 37 of the State Register, dated 9/14/2005.
Orange County – The Town of Monroe Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted an Amended Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Forest Edge Subdivision. A public hearing on the Amended Draft EIS will be held on September 20, 2005, 7:30 p.m. at the Town of Monroe Senior Center, Mine Road, Monroe, New York. Written comments on the Amended Draft EIS will be accepted until ten days after the close of the hearing. The action involves a request for subdivision approval and all other necessary land use approvals for a 51–lot subdivision on a 25.31–acre parcel in the URM zoning district. The site is proposed to be served by public sewer service and public water extended from the Village of Kiryas Joel. The site is the former Jehovah‘s Witness Hall property and is currently developed with a meeting hall and paved parking and circulation areas, among other things. This structure is proposed to be demolished as part of the action.
The site contains nearly 3 acres of federal jurisdictional wetland that has been flagged in the field and was the subject of a Jurisdictional Determination. The plan proposes a network of private roads leading to Mountain Road (CR 44) and Forest Road.
