Amended Negative Declaration

Cattaraugus County - The New York State Department Of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Moran Gravel Mine will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves Mr. William Moran proposing to mine sand and gravel with material processing with a small (less than 150 tons per hour maximum capacity) portable dry-screen, affecting 10 acres of land. The estimated life of the mine is 20 years and the reclamation objective is agriculture. The SEQR Negative Declaration has been amended with additional information provided by the applicant in response to public comments on the Complete Application Notice (ENB 3/16/05). The project is located east of Windfall Road, north and west of Haskell Road in Town of Portville, Cattaraugus County.

Notice Of Acceptance Of Draft EIS And Public Hearing

Niagara County - The Town of Wheatfield Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Shawnee Meadows Subdivision. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on September 26, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town of Wheatfield Community Center, 2800 Church Road, North Tonawanda, NY. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until October 10, 2005. The action involves the approval and construction of a major subdivision consisting of 82 single-family residential lots and associated roadways, drainage structures and public utilities (sanitary sewers, water, electric, natural gas, etc.) within an 84 acre parcel. The project site is zoned rural residential. The project is located east of and adjacent to Schultz Road, south of Moyer Road, and west of Shawnee Road in the Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, New York. A copy of the Draft EIS is available for review at the Town of Wheatfield Town Clerk's Office, 2800 Church Road, North Tonawanda, NY.
