Notice of Adoption--6NYCRR Section 190.13 relating to Wilderness Areas in the Adirondack Park

Pursuant to the Environmental Conservation Law §§ 1-0101, 3-0301, 9-0105, the Department of Environmental Conservation hereby gives notice of the following:

Notice of Adoption for 6NYCRR Section 190.13 relating to the use of bear resistant canisters in Wilderness areas in the Adirondack Park. This notice will be published in issue 34 of the State Register, dated 8/24/2005.

Brownfield Cleanup Program

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) administers the Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) pursuant to State Environmental Conservation Law (ECL) 27-1400 et seq. The BCP was created to encourage the remediation and redevelopment of contaminated properties known as brownfields. The requestor indicated above has submitted a BCP application for investigation of the site indicated above.

NYSDEC will accept public comments concerning the application. A copy of the application and other appropriate documents (application package) is available in the site document repository located at the address indicated below.

NYSDEC will review the application package and public comments received and then make a determination on the eligibility of the application.

Negative Declaration

Jefferson County – The Village of Sackets Harbor Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Lawler Subdivision will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the creation of a Planned Development District and subdivision of 6.675 acres of land into 24 single family townhouse lots, 1 commercial and 1 storm water lot. The project is located at 206 Ambrose Street, Sackets Harbor, NY.

Jefferson County – The Village of Sackets Harbor, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Amendment to the Village of Sackets Harbor Zoning Law will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the Village of Sackets Harbor adopting a local law amending its zoning law to increase the membership of its Zoning Board of Appeals from three to five members. The project is located in the Village of Sackets Harbor.
