Notice Regarding Issuance of Final Request for Proposals (RFP)

For Disposal of the Solid Waste Stream Generated by the Town of Hempstead, N.Y.

The final RFP and Responsiveness Summary may also be viewed in the office of the Town of Hempstead Town Clerk, One Washington Street, Hempstead, NY 11550, (516) 489–5000, and at all municipal public libraries. All proposals must be received by Wednesday, November 16, 2005.
Suffolk County – The Town of Southampton Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Southampton Developers LLC Site Plan Application will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves development of a 2.520 acre vacant parcel to construct a 16,000 square foot office building with 89 parking spaces (30 stalls to be landbanked), and associated driveways and site plan elements including landscaping and lighting. The project is located in the Office Business (OD) Zoning District, on the north side of County Road 39, easterly adjacent to the Southampton Cemetery and westerly adjacent to Burger King, approximately 766 feet west of North Sea Road, in the Town of Southampton, Suffolk County, NY.

Nassau County – The Town of Oyster Bay, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Petition of Fox Run Realty, LLC., d/b/a Fox Run at Plainview, Ricahrd J. Maragni and Raymond J. Maragni, John J. Catalanotto and John Braun and Denise Braun for a Change of Zone and Special Use Permit will not have a significant adverse environmental impact provided specific conditions are met. There will be a 30 day public comment period commencing with the date of this notice. The action involves a Change of Zone and Special Use Permit to construct 40 condominium units for owners 55 years and older. The project is located on Plainview Road, Plainnview, Town of Oyster Bay, NY.

Suffolk County – The Planning Board of the Town of Southampton, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed LIN Cellular Communication LLC may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A public scoping session will be held on August 11, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Southampton Town Hall. The action involves the construction of an 80 foot tall wireless telecommunication tower resembling a flagpole on a 2.2 acre parcel situate in the CR–80 Zoning District. The project is located on the north side of SR 27 (3312 Montauk Highway) in Sagaponack (SCTM No. 900–73–2–8.1).
