Positive Declaration

Nassau County – The Village Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Old Westbury, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Roman Catholic Diocese of Rockville Centre Subdivision and Special Exception Use Permit Application for the proposed Queen of Peace Cemetery may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the subdivision of a parcel of approximately 97.3 acres of land into 10 residential building lots and a 69–acre cemetery, which cemetery would contain an office, chapel, maintenance area, mausoleum complex and multiple, at–grade areas for future grave sites to be developed in three phases over a period of approximately 45 years. The project is located along the northerly side of Jericho Turnpike between Hitchock Lane and Powells Lane in the Incorporated Village of Old Westbury.

Suffolk County – The Southampton Town Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed 538 Dune Harbor Associates, LLC may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves site plan/wetland permit application for demolition of a 28–unit motel and the construction of a 10–unit condominium complex with associated parking and swimming pool on a 5.16–acre parcel which contains tidal wetlands. The project is located at 538 Dune Road, Westhampton, NY.

Notice Of Acceptance Of Final EIS

Nassau County – The Board of Appeals of the Incorporated Village of Lake Success, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Application of the Korean Church of Long Island. The action involves the Korean Church of Long Island proposing to construct a new church and meeting hall with associated appurtenances on a 2.65± acre parcel located at 69 North Service Road in the Incorporated Village of Lake Success.

The project is located at 69 North Service Road (between Lakeville Road and Community Drive), Incorporated Village of Lake Success, Nassau County, New York.

Public comments on the FEIS will be accepted at by the contact person, listed below, until August 12, 2005.
