Project Description:
The applicant proposes to construct potholes and level ditches within NYS Freshwater Wetland PA-1 to restore habitat function for wetland wildlife as part of a USDA Wetland Reserve Program (WRP). Potholes will be constructed in open areas 60 to 120 ft. from Red Creek and adjacent to the existing forested and scrub/shrub wetland and upland adjacent area. Work will include approximately 800 ft. of level ditches and 28,000 square feet of potholes. Spoil will be moved to an upland area. The owners property extends over the boundary of the Town of Macedon and Town of Palmyra. The project is located approximately 1800 ft. west southwest of Maple Rd. in the Town of Macedon.
State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:
Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was not performed.
SEQR Lead Agency:
None Designated
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
A Structural-Archaeological Assessment Form has been completed. The proposed activity will not impact on registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
