Positive Declaration

Essex County - The Adirondack Park Agency, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Map Amendment 2005-8 may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves an amendment of the Official Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan Map in the Town of St. Armand, Essex County (Map Amendment 2005-8) to reclassify an approximately 42.6 acre area from its present classification of Resource Management to Hamlet, pursuant to the Adirondack Park Agency Act, Section 805(2)(c)(1). Further, as required by the Agency Act, staff have expanded the area to include land of similar character within regional boundaries. The total area under consideration is approximately 160 acres. The project is located in the Town of St. Armand, Essex County.
