The applicant proposes to
demolish and remove an existing dwelling, deck, shed and septic system
then construct a new dwelling,
deck, septic system, and bulkhead, and place fill on the site. The
dwelling is proposed to
be located within 13.9 feet of the tidal wetland boundary and the deck is
proposed within 7.5 feet
of the tidal wetland boundary. The applicant has requested setback relief
(variance) from the requirement
that structures be a miminum of 75 feet from the tidal wetlands
at the site for both structures. In addition, the septic system is proposed within 21 feet of the tidal
wetland boundary and the
applicant has requested relief (variance) from the requirement that septic
systems be a minimum of
100 feet from tidal wetlands. The project site is located at 278 Towd Point
Road, Town of Southampton,
Suffolk County, SCTM #0900-059-01-024.
