mining of gravel and material processing with a portable dry-screen and a portable cursher, each with
a maximum capacity of not more than 120 tons
per hour, on 20 acres of land out of 61.9 acres owned by Teddy P. Tomaszewski. The
estimated life of the mine is 10 years and the reclamation objective is agriculture. The
proposed Stone Spring Mine location is on the north side of Stone Spring Road,
approximately 2,000 feet east of Purdy Road.

The applicant proposes to
take up to 23,100 gallons per day for the newly created
Versailles Water District, to service the approximately 70 families residing in the Hamlet
of Versailles. Water is to be taken from the Seneca Nation of Indians (SNI) under the
terms of a Water Supply Agreement. The SNI takes a supply of water for use in its
distribution system from the Inter-community Water Board pipeline, which is supplied by
the Erie County Water Authority. The SNI also takes a supply of water from wells that
are located on their lands. The project includes installation of 11,000 linear feet of 8 inch
watermain.

The applicant proposes a
20 acre addition to the Neil Gravel Mine, currently permitted for
16.1 acres. The reclamation objective is to create a meadow suitable for farming, which
is the same as the objective for the existing mine. No additional modifications are
proposed. The Neil Gravel Mine is located on the west side of Hoag Road, adjacent to
the Southern Tier Extension Railroad grade. The proposed expansion area is on the east
side of the existing mine, 530 feet west of Hoag Road at its nearest point.
