maintaining current effluent limitations and monitoring and reporting requirements. This
permit involves the occasional surface discharge of up to 1,000 gallons of treated
swimming pool backwash water to a tributary of the Ramapo River.

Similar treatments have been preformed on this lake with this chemical in the past. This
application contains an increase in application rate of Aquathol-K from previous years.
The treatment is proposed for the control of nuisance aquatic vegetation.

to apply Triage (active ingredient: Copper Sulfate
Pentahydrate 99%) in a whole-lake treatment at an increased application rate from
previous years to control nuisance algae.

Todd Road. The purpose of the treatments is to control the growth of pondweeds
(Potamogeton spp.), naiads (Najas spp.), and algae. The proposal is consistent

such as Elodea Canadensis, Myrophillium heterophyllium and Potamogeton amplifolius
on the New York side of the lake. The applicant has also applied for a new permit to treat
the 16.96 acres of the lake with the algaecide Captian (active ingredient: copper
carbonate- 15.9%) to control nuisance algae.

The applicant proposes to
treat Brown Pond with the aquatic herbicide Sonar AS (active
ingredient: fluridone) and the algaecide K-Tea (active ingredient: elemental copper) for
the control of water-meal (Wolffia spp.), duckweed (Lemna minor) and algae. Brown
Pond is a 1 acre pond located northeast of NYS Route 137, approximately 500 feet north
of the intersection with NYS Route 124. The proposal is consistent with the
Department's Final Environmental Impact Statement on the use of Fluridone and its
Statement of Findings.
