The applicant proposes to
operate a sand & gravel mine on a 49.8 acre parcel under his
ownership. The project involves a 9.0 acre life of mine boundary of which 4.6 acres of
land will be affected during the 5-year permit term. Authorization of this activity will
include the on-site processing of mining products. The proposed mine will be located
1000' east of NYS Route 51 & approximately 800' north of the intersection with Norton
Road and Route 51 in the Town of Litchfield.
