The applicant proposes to install 33 wellpoints and dewater the ground to facilitate the construction of a basement for a proposed building with a footprint of 2800 square feet. The proposed dewatering is to last for 2.5 months and the estimated daily pumpage is estimated to be one million gallons per day.  The proposed discharge will be run through a water treatment system comprised of  settling tanks and air strippers prior to being discharged into an existing stormwater catch basin that ultimately discharges into the Newbridge Creek.  The project is located on the northwest corner of York Place and Sunrise Highway, 2004 Sunrise Highway, Merrick, Nassau County, NCTM# 55-130-lots 69-73.

The applicant proposes to install and operate a temporary wellpoint dewatering system utilizing a 1,500 gallon per minute pump for the reconstruction of two existing boat ramps.  The dewatering shall last approximately 30 days.  The daily maximum pumpage is not to exceed 2.1 million gallons per day.  The water is to be discharged through a berm to a spillway leading to Hempstead Harbor.  The project is located at Tappen Beach Marina, Shore Road, Glenwood Landing, Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau County.

The Department has prepared a Draft Permit and has made a tentative determination to approve this application for a STATE FACILITY PERMIT  FOR THE COLLEGE CAMPUS CENTRAL HEATING PLANT FACILITY.  THERE WILL BE TWO HOT WATER BOILERS BURNING NATURAL GAS OR NO. 2 OIL.  ONE BOILER IS RATED AT 63.3 MMBTU/HR AND THE OTHER AT 31.65 MMBTU/HR.  THERE  WILL ALSO BE ONE LEAN-BURN GAS-FIRED ENGINE COGENERATING HOT WATER AND UP TO 1780 KW OF ELECTRICITY FOR THE CAMPUS.  SOME CAMPUS BUILDINGS HAVE EXEMPT (LESS THAN 10 MMBTU/HR) BOILERS/HOT WATER HEATERS.  ALSO THERE ARE EXEMPT EMERGENCY GENERATORS.  THE APPLICANT IS SEEKING TO CAP THE POTENTIAL TO EMIT (PTE) UNDER PART 201-7.2 OF THE FACILITY NOx EMISSIONS TO 45000 LBS/YR. The facility is located at 223 Store Hill Road, Old Westbury NY, Town of Oyster Bay.

The applicant proposes to remove and replace in the same location and 18" higher 33 linear feet of bulkhead; construct 7 linear feet of new bulkhead to close off existing non-functional boat ramp; and, dredge no greater than 10 ft. seaward of the bulkhead to a maximum depth of 4 ft. below mean low water with resultant 25 cubic yards of dredged material to be used as backfill and to fill in the ramp.  The property is located at 20 East Hamilton Avenue, Massapequa, Town of Oyster Bay, County of Suffolk on Yacht Channel.

Applicant proposes to construct a single family dwelling, decks and sanitary system within the adjacent area of a regulated  fresh water wetland GE-4.The dwelling is proposed to be located  approx. 25 feet from the fresh water wetland boundary.  The project is located at 2128 Montauk Highway, Amagansett, Town of East Hampton. SCTM# 0300-110-2-21

The applicant proposes to clear a parcel in order to construct a new single family dwelling, construct a new driveway and install a new septic system.  NYSDEC regulated freshwater wetland # MP-13 is located in the vicinity of the parcel.  Clearing is proposed within 50' of the freshwater wetland boundary, the single family dwelling and septic system are proposed within 100' of the freshwater wetland boundary, and the driveway is proposed within 76' of the freshwater wetland boundary.  The project is located at 14 South Faraday Street, Montauk, Town of East Hampton, Suffolk County.  SCTM # 300-28-5-46.

The applicant proposes to reconstruct an existing bulkhead in place; increase the bulkhead elevation by 18"; reconstruct an existing walkway; increase the walkway elevation by 5"; reconstruct an existing 18 foot by 10 foot dock; and dredge a 30 foot by 150 foot area of Brushes Creek adjacent to the bulkhead.  Approximately 70 cubic yards of dredged material will be placed landward of the bulkhead and approximately 230 cubic yards of dredged material will be disposed of at an upland location.  Brushes Creek is considered a NYSDEC regulated tidal wetland and the proposed dredging is considered an incompatible use for a tidal wetland area.  The project is located at 1900 Peconic Bay Boulevard, Laurel, Town of Southold, Suffolk County.  SCTM # 1000-145-4-3.
