Legionaries of Christ, Inc. – Application for Amended Special Use Permit Approval
Notice is hereby given that the Town of New Castle Zoning Board of Appeals, at a meeting on April 29, 2005, rescinded the resolution that it had previously adopted at a meeting on April 7, 2005 conditionally accepting a Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) dated April 1, 2005. Such action was taken as a result of disparities that were identified between the conditionally accepted version of the FEIS and the final printed version of the FEIS dated April 8, 2005 that was distributed to Involved and Interested Agencies.
An updated version of the FEIS is currently being prepared to eliminate such disparities. When it has been determined that the updated FEIS is complete and ready for public review, the Town of New Castle Zoning Board of Appeals will adopt a new Notice of Completion of Final EIS, will direct that such document be redistributed to all Involved and Interested Agencies, and will schedule another public hearing on the FEIS and the continued review of the application for amended special use permit approval.
The subject property is located at 773 Armonk Road in the Town of New Castle, and currently houses an existing seminary that is proposed to be expanded. Additional descriptive information on the Proposed Action is presented in the originally issued Notice of Completion of Final EIS and Notice of Hearing published in the ENB on April 27, 2005.
