The applicant proposes to remove and replace, in place, 42 feet of existing bulkhead, a 7 foot return, a 2 foot return and landward boardwalk/decking and backfill bulkhead with 50 cubic yards of clean sand. The applicant also proposes to construct 15 feet of new bulkhead closing off an existing ramp and filling this SM/LZ area with 20 cubic yards of clean sand. The property is located at 99 Boyd Street, Long Beach, Hempstead Town, Nassau County on Reynolds Channel.

The Department has prepared a Draft Permit and has made a tentative determination to approve this renewal application for an existing Title V permit at the ExxonMobil Inwood Terminal.

This facility is a gasoline/distillate loading terminal consisting of five (5) permitted gasoline storage tanks along with several other storage tanks containing gasoline additives and heating oil/diesel.  One (1) loading rack with 5 bays is located onsite. Gasoline loading is controlled with a vapor reduction unit.  The facility is located at 464 Doughty Blvd, Inwood, Town of Hempstead.

In accordance with 6NYCRR Parts 621.5(d)(9) and 201-6.4(c), the Administrator of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) has the authority to bar issuance of any Title V Facility Permit if it is determined not to be in compliance with applicable requirements of the Clean Air Act or 6NYCRR Part 201.

Persons wishing to inspect the subject Title V files, including the application with all relevant supporting materials, the draft permit, and all other materials available to the DEC (the "permitting authority") that are relevant to this permitting decision should contact the DEC representative listed below.  It is recommended that an appointment be made to confirm the availability of the subject files.  The DEC will endeavor to make the files available within 2 business days of contact, during normal business hours (8:30 am through 4:45 pm), unless the requestor wishes to inspect the files at a later date.

DEC will evaluate the application and the comments received on it to determine whether to hold a public hearing.  A public hearing may be legislative or adjudicatory.  A legislative public hearing is a proceeding which provides an additional opportunity for public comment.  DEC's determination to hold a legislative public hearing will be based on whether a significant degree of public interest exists.   If a legislative public hearing is to be held, a Notice of Hearing will be published which will include the time and place of the hearing and submitting comments.   The applicant and all persons who  have filed comments on the permit will be notified by mail of the public hearing.  Comments and requests for a legislative public hearing should be in writing and addressed to the Department representative listed below.

An adjudicatory public hearing is a trial type proceeding which provides the opportunity for adjudication on the basis of evidence, including direct testimony and cross examination.  An adjudicatory hearing is held only if substantive and significant issues relating to any findings or determinations the Department is required to make pursuant to the Environmental Conservation Law exist.   A copy of the Department's permit hearing procedures is available upon request or on the Department web site at: http://www.dec.state.ny.us/website/ohms/gudph1.htm.

The applicant proposes the installation of a 10" diameter, 400' deep well which will have a pump capacity of 500gpm.  Water will be used for a commercial laundry facility.  The well will be located at 129 Hanse Ave., Freeport.

Applicant proposes to install one 20" x 10" diameter water supply well.  The well will be 390 feet deep and pump 650 gallons per minute (gpm).  The well will be located at the Jennings Road well field, Village of Lloyd Harbor, Town of Huntington.

The applicant proposes to subdivide a 208,837 sq. ft. parcel into two lots of 59,080 and 149,757 sq. ft. each.  A single family dwelling and swimming pool currently exist on the site.  Regulated tidal wetlands exist on the property.  The purpose of the project is to provide two lots for residential development. The proposed project is located at 122 Atlantic Avenue in East Moriches, Town of Brookhaven, Suffolk County, SCTM# 200-917-02-4.1, 4.2, 4.5 & 5.0.

Applicant  proposes to construct a single family dwelling, deck, sanitry system and driveway in the adjacent area of a regulated fresh water wetland  NA-4.  The property is located at 40 Beach Road, Amagansett, Town of East Hampton.

The applicant proposes the construction of a new single family dwelling with driveway, porch and septic system on a 14,845.8 sf lot.  The dwelling will be located approximately 74 linear feet from a NYSDEC regulated Freshwater Wetland ( NA-1).  SCTM# 300-103-6-28  

The applicant proposes to place tick bait stations know as the MaxForce Tick Management System (EPA Registration No. 432-1248) throughout the Village of Saltaire on Fire Island.  The bait stations will be placed in the vicinity of the boardwalk and approximately every other house throughout the Village of Saltaire on Fire Island.  Mice are attracted into the protected stations using non-toxic bait.  As they enter the station they come into contact with a pesticide laden wick which in turn kills the ticks on their body leaving the mouse unharmed.  Town of Islip in Suffolk County.    

The applicant proposes to mine an additional 25' of depth over 11.9 acres of a 14.68 active mining site.  No lateral expansion of the mine site is proposed.  The proposed new depth of mine will bring the floor of mine to approximately 12'-15' of groundwater.  The project is located on the n/s of Old Northport Road, 1081' w/o Indian Head Road in Kings Park, Town of Smithtown, Suffolk County, SCTM # 0800-42-1-3.2.
