ENB Region 1 Completed Applications 04/27/2005

The applicant proposes to install a pool, deck with retaining wall, and drywells within the adjacent area of a NYSDEC regulated Freshwater Wetland (# SC-3).  The pool, deck and drywells are proposed within 27 feet, 20 feet and 19 feet of the freshwater wetland, respectively.  The project is located at 951 Middleneck Road, Kings Point, Town of North Hempstead, NCTM# Section 1, Block 164, Lot 37.  

Applicant proposes to construct a single family dwelling, driveway and septic system in the adjacent area of NYS regulated fresh water wetland M-10.  The dwelling is proposed to be located  approximately 10 feet from the freshwater wetland boundary.  The property is located  on Waverly Avenue, Shirley, Town of Brookhaven  SCTM 200-983.30-5-21

The applicant proposes to install two breasting dolphins and extend the fenders on two existing dolphins at the ConocoPhillips Riverhead Terminal Offshore Platform to reduce waiting time for barges carrying fuel oil.  The platform is located in Long Island Sound, approximately one mile offshore from Sound Shore Road in Riverhead.  Long Island Sound is considered a navigable water of the state and is regulated by the NYSDEC under the Use and Protection of Waters Act (Article 15).   The facility is located at 212 Sound Shore Road, Town of Riverhead, Suffolk County.

THE APPLICANT PROPOSES TO SUBDIVIDE A 58.3 ACRE PARCEL INTO TWO LOTS.   THE PROPOSED SUBDIVISION WILL CONSIST OF A 37.8 ACRE LOT CONTAINING THE EXISTING SCHOOL AND A 20.5 ACRE LOT WHICH IS PROPOSED TO BE SOLD.   THE PROJECT IS LOCATED AT 541 LONG BEACH ROAD, VILLAGE OF NISSEQUOGUE, SUFFOLK COUNTY, SCTM#0802-3-3-1.

The applicant proposes to refurbish the existing marina by dredging the boat basin to a depth of 4 feet below apparent low water with resultant approximate 1,000 cubic yards of material to be placed on the upland portion of the property, remove and replace 456 feet of bulkhead, remove concrete walkways and replace with wood walkways, remove and replace floating docks, and remove an existing 4 foot by 70 foot brush and tire jetty and replace with a 4 foot by 60 foot brush jetty.  The project is located at 91 Foster Avenue, Hampton Bays, Southampton Town, SCTM #900-374-2-4.

The applicant proposes to remove and replace, in-place, 765 linear feet of bulkhead. Dredge a maximum distance of 15 ft. seaward of the bulkhead, including the entrance to the inlet, to a depth of 4 ft. below mean low water.  Resultant 160 cubic yards of dredged material to be placed in Spoil Site No. 1 located on the beach on the south side of the inlet.  Establish a 60 ft. x 65 ft. deposition basin on the south side of an existing jetty by removing 1150 cubic yards of material to a depth of 7.5 ft. below mean low water. Resultant 130 cubic yards of the dredged material will be placed in Spoil Site No. 2 north of the existing inlet and used to renourish the beach and 1020 cubic yards will be used as backfill landward of the bulkhead.  The property is located at 5250 Vanston Road, Cutchogue, Town of Southold, County of Suffolk on Cutchogue Harbor.
