Pursuant to the Environmental Conservation Law, Sections 13-0303, 13-0340, 13-0340-b, 13-0340-e and 13-0340-f, the Department of Environmental Conservation hereby gives notice of the following:
Notice of Emergency Adoption and Proposed Rule Making of 6NYCRR Part 40 relating to marine fish. This notice will be published in issue 17 of the State Register, dated 4/27/2005 and was effective upon filing on 4/8/2005.

Nassau and Suffolk Counties - The New York State Department of State, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed North Shore of Long Island Significant Coastal Fish and Wildlife Habitat Updates and Designations will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves updating Significant Coastal Fish and Wildlife habitat information and maps for 25 existing habitats, and the designation of 9 new habitats, including new narrative descriptions, assessments, and maps for each habitat. This action is proposed to more fully implement Policy 7 and other relevant CMP policies, including those in Article 42 of the Executive Law and 19 NYCRR Part 600. The project is located on the north shore of Long Island, in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
