Project Description: The project involves the expansion of an existing sand and gravel pit by an additional 2 acres. The Town has already mined approximately 2 acres and proposes to expand the extraction by mining an additional 2 acres. The project site is a 155± acre parcel and the "life of mine" area is 37± acres located in the north-central portion of the site. The Town proposes to mine about 5,000 cubic yards of material per year for its own use in maintaining Town Roads. The mining operation will involve screening and use of a small crusher with some stock piling of the crushed stone within the existing floor of the mined area. The Town will continue to operate the mine pursuant to an agreement with adjoining and nearby landowners.

Project Description: The project constitutes a material amendment of APA Permits 96-243 and 96-243A. Modifications to the previously-approved commercial use office and garage to support a logging company that operates year-round, seven days a week, from 7 am to 6 pm. The structure is 7,062 square feet in size. On-site storage of equipment, trucks, and modest quantities of road-building materials (gravel, culverts). Two, 1,000 gallon above-ground fuel tanks with integrated pump dispensers are proposed. Additional coniferous trees will be planted at the highway entrance to screen the building, parking and storage areas from public view. Finally, a two-lot subdivision of previously-approved Lot “C” will allow the commercial use to be separated from the residence. Lot C-1 will be 7.76 acres in size and contains the commercial use; Lot C-2 is 11.8 acres in size and will be the location of one previously-approved single family dwelling.

Project Description: The action involves a proposal to subdivide the 56.5 acre project site into 7-lots, each with a new single family dwelling, well and on-site wastewater treatment system. The lots range in size from 4.96 to 15.40 acres. The site was previously managed for sand and gravel extraction and processing subject of APA permit 98-72; the site has been reclaimed in accordance with permit requirements. The access road from NYS Route 9N to all the lots will be afforded by a shared driveway which formerly served as the mine haul road. The road will be dedicated to the Town of Ticonderoga.

Project Description: The action involves a commercial sand and gravel extraction having a Life of Mine area of 2.4 acres. Between an average of 3,000 cubic yards and a maximum of 5,000 cubic yards of material are to be removed from the extraction annually. Operations are to occur during spring, summer and fall months, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. An average of approximately five loaded truck trips are to occur on a weekly basis. This project was previously approved by Agency Permit 98-197 which expired. It has also been approved by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the Town of Willsboro Planning Board.
