Project Description:
The applicant has requested a water supply permit to install a complete water supply and distribution system to serve the Town of Fleming Water District No.6, and take a supply of water with an estimated average of 20,250 gallons per day for use in this system by a connection to existing facilities of the Cayuga County Water & Sewer Authority.  The project includes the installation of approximately 43,000 linear feet of watermain of various sizes, water services, hydrants, PRV vaults, valves, and all associated appurtenances. (This project also includes the Town of Springport Water District No. 2.)
State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:
Project is a Type I action and will not have a significant effect on the environment. A coordinated review with other agencies was performed and a Negative Declaration is on file.
SEQR Lead Agency:
Springport Town Board
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
A cultural resources survey has been completed. Based on information provided in the survey report, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) has determined that the proposed activity will have no impact on registered or eligible archaeological sites or historic structures. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Apr 15 2005.

The applicant has requested a water supply permit to install a complete water supply and distribution system to serve the Town of Springport Water District No.2, and take a supply of water with an estimated average of 120,150 gallons per day (over three phases of the project) for use in this system by a connection to existing facilities of the Cayuga County Water & Sewer Authority.  The project includes the installation of approximately 202,000 linear feet of watermain of various sizes, water services, hydrants, PRV vaults, valves, and all associated appurtenances.  A protection of waters permit will be needed to cross Yawger Creek, at two locations.  (This project also includes the Town of Fleming Water District No. 6.)
