The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (Department) administers the Brownfield Cleanup Program. The Brownfield Cleanup Program is designed to encourage the remediation of contaminated properties known as brownfields for reuse and redevelopment. The Applicant identified above has submitted an application to participate in the Brownfield Cleanup Program. The application was determined to be complete by the Department and is currently under review for eligibility. The property described in the application is identified by the Site Name and Site Number identified above and is located at the address above. The application proposes that the Applicant will conduct investigation and/or remedial activities at the site, to allow for commercial se of the site.
The Department will accept public comments concerning the application, as well as a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, a Supplemental Phase II Environmental Site Assessment, and a Fact Sheet dated February 2005 for 30 days from March 23, 2005 through April 22, 2005. After review of the application and any public comments received, the Department will determine whether to accept the Applicantís request to participate in the Brownfield Cleanup Program. If the Department accepts the Applicantís request to participate, it will execute a Brownfield Cleanup Agreement (BCA) with the Applicant. By executing a BCA, the Applicant would commit to undertake the project under the Departmentís oversight. The Department will require the Applicant to inform and involve the public during this process. The documents in the repository have not been reviewed by Department staff prior to their release for public comment. The Department, in conjunction with the New York State Department of Health, will review these documents during the public comment period.

Livingston County - The Town Board of North Dansville, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Dansville Bella Vista Center will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the Dansville Bella Vista Center Commercial Development re-zoning, site plan approval, sewer and water line extensions, and roadway widening and improvements. The project is located on Poags Hole Road, Town of North Dansville, Livingston County.

Livingston County - The Livingston County Board of Supervisors, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed expansion of Livingston County Government Center Parking Lot will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the expansion of the parking lot on the north side of the Livingston County Government Center. The project is located at 6 Court Street, Geneseo, NY.

Ontario County - The Ontario County Board of Supervisors, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed New Auditorium Building and Finger Lakes Performing Arts Center Renovations may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves a two phase project. Phase 1 is an expansion of the concert shell at the Finger Lakes Performing Arts Center to provide covered seating for 5,000 (currently 2,600), and will expand stage to allow full theater products, raise fly house over the stage to allow full theater stage sets, renovate kitchen, concession, and restroom facilities, replace sound and lighting systems. Phase 2 is the construction of an approximately 70,000 square foot, new, free-standing, building to house the theater, communications, and music programs of the Visual and Performing Arts Program, including a 600 seat auditorium and academic office space. The project is located at 4335 Lakeshore Drive, Canandaigua, NY.
