CHG&E herbicide request is for routine vegetation management
along electric transmission line rights of way, which include some
NYSDEC freshwater wetlands. Procedures would be the same as
previous year's Standard Activity Permit application. A certified
applicator will apply Accord and Arsenal via low volume methods to
select species and cut stumps, to control tall growth which may
otherwise result in interference with transmission lines. At times
these applications will be used within NYSDEC regulated
freshwater wetlands; a listing of those wetlands is available on
request.
