The applicant proposes to
redevelop an existing marina by reconfiguring and extending
docking facilities within the area occupied by the existing docking facilities and a portion
of the existing mooring field as follows: replace main pier with an 8' by 115' pier and a
10' by 13' platform on the seaward end, replace existing gangway with an 8' by 80'
gangway, construct 1533' of floating docks with a 14' width, 113' of floating docks with a
6' width, 50 finger piers with widths ranging from 4' to 10', and install 178 piles. The
applicant also proposes to rehabilitate the existing liftwell, replace the existing gangway
for liftwell with a 3' by 35' gangway, install 190' of new bulkhead and place 250 cubic
yards of fill material behind the bulkhead as backfill. Placement of fill behind the new
bulkhead, 49 feet of which will be located seaward of apparent high water, will result in
the loss of approximately 287 square feet of tidal wetlands known as littoral zone
(SM/LZ). The applicant also proposes to clean up approximately 450 square feet of
littoral zone by removing approximately 330 cubic yards of previously placed rip-rap,
concrete blanket and timber batter piles. The project is located at One Orchard Beach
Blvd, Port Washington, Village of Manorhaven, Town of North Hempstead, Nassau
County.

excavate approximately 4,900 cubic yards of material
consisting of 75% sediment and 25% phragmites from a coastal depression/disturbed
freshwater wetland, regrade and install a box weir in order to create a detention pond that
will retard the flow of stormwater runoff and reduce microbial, particulate and other
contamination loads carried to Lake Montauk's south end. Once excavated, the substrate
will be replanted with native East Hampton freshwater wetland vegetation. The project is
