Delaware County - The Town of Andes, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed construction of a variable grade effluent sewer (small diameter) to serve the Gladstone Hollow area of the Andes Sewer District #1 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. A public hearing on the Negative Declaration will be held on March 8, 2005, at 12:30 p.m. at the Town Hall, Route 28, Andes, NY. Comments on the Negative Declaration will be accepted until March 15, 2005. The action involves construction of 15 new septic tanks with connection to a small diameter variable grade effluent sewer to connect to the municipal sewer main at the eastern end of the former Village of Andes to be ultimately treated at the Andes Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project is located on Gladstone Hollow Road, Town of Andes, Andes, NY.

Columbia County - The Town of Copake Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Neopolis Consulting Company, LLC - Resort Hotel project at Catamount Ski Area, Route 23 and Catamount-Swiss Hutte Road, Town of Copake. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on March 8, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Copake Town Hall. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until March 18, 2005 by the contact person. The action involves the construction of 125 suites with up to 313 bedrooms within 3 resort hotel buildings with related amenities, including a restaurant, retail shops, inground swimming pool, and associated parking areas on a 10 acre site located at the base of the Catamount Ski Area. The proposed action is a modification of the "Catamount Crest Resort Hotel" Project, which proposed a resort hotel complex containing 255 units in 2 buildings with related support facilities. The Catamount Crest Resort Hotel proposal received a full environmental review in 1989 and 1990 and both a Draft and Final Environmental Impact Statement was issued for the Catamount Crest Resort Hotel proposal. The project is located on New York State Route 23 and Catamount-Swiss Hutte Road, Town of Copake, Columbia County, New York.
