ENB Region 8 Completed Applications 02/09/2005

The Department has received an application to create Guion Water District and to take for use therein a supply of water estimated to average 1980 gallons per day from the Monroe County Water Authority's (Brockport) Lake Ontario source.  This project includes the installation of 1,695 linear feet of 8 inch water main and appurtenances to serve 1 existing and 5 future homes.  The Department has made a tentative determination to approve this application.  As a tentative determination, the Department is seeking public comment prior to making a final decision on permit issuance.

Applicant proposes to dredge approximately 1,487 cubic yards of accumulated sediments from Streams ONT-113 ,ONT-114 and the retention pond near the 18^th green in the Durand Eastman Park Golf Course to maintain the drainage and to prevent flooding of the golf course .  Scope of work includes the removal of approximately 400 feet plugged 60-inch diameter culvert, and the clearing of approximately 350 feet an overgrown access road on the west side of Sherry Pond. The channels of streams ONT-113 and ONT-114 will be reshaped to conform to the original design cross sections and profiles. Accumulated sediments will be removed, de-watered  and used as topsoil amendments on the project site.  Portions of the project are within NYS Freshwater Wetland RH-16 and the associated 100 ft. adjacent area.  Project is located at Lakeshore Boulevard near intersection with Kings Highway in the Town of Irondequoit, Monroe County.  

The Steuben County Department of Public Works proposes to realign and reconstruct the CR110 bridge (BIN 3334320) over the Canisteo River, located in the Town of Rathbone, Steuben County.  The work will occur behind a cofferdam and will include construction of a new three-span bridge approximately 18 meters to the east of the existing bridge, construction of new highway approach embankments, construction  of steel girder superstructure with reinforced concrete deck and  reinforced concrete abutments and river piers. Heavy stone fill will be be placed around all substructure units for scour protection. The existing superstructure and south abutment/wingwall will be removed and the bank reconstructed. The existing north abutment/wingwall will remain and a car-top boat launch will be constructed at the former location of the North Bridge approach.
