mine sand and gravel from 6.6 acres on a 20.3 acre site. The
proposal includes the use of a screen and a crusher. Hours of operation have been
proposed as 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (or sunrise to sunset whichever is more restrictive)
The will be no mining on Sundays or Legal Holidays. All mining to be above the
groundwater table. The proposed mine is located on the south side of NYS Route 96
approximately 0.1 mile east of the intersection with Tuttle Hill Road and 0.6 mile west of
the Village of Candor, Tioga County.
