The Department has made
a tentative determination to approve the transfer and
modification of Rome Cable Corporation's existing SPDES wastewater discharge permit
to OWL Wire and Cable, Inc. The permit will be modified will allow the discharge of
non-contact cooling water from the South Madison Street facility in the event the
recirculating water pumps fail. Additionally outfall 004 will be reopened to allow for a
second discharge location and outfalls 002, 003, 005, and 007 will be deleted.
