Nassau County - The Town of Oyster Bay, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Petition of Lowe's Companies, Inc. & BDG Robbins Lane, LLC. for a Special Use Permit may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A public scoping session will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2005 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall, 54 Audrey Ave., Oyster Bay, NY. The action involves a special use permit to construct a 136,999 sq. ft. home improvement center with a 31,709 sq. ft. garden center. The project is located at 300 Robbins Lane, Syosset, Town of Oyster Bay, NY.

Suffolk County - The Planning Board of the Town of Southampton, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Strong Supply & Equipment may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A public scoping session will be held on January 27, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Southampton Town Hall, Southampton, NY. The action involves a phased re-development of the subject property including the demolition of the existing building, a new 36’ x 60’ building for retail, office, and storage use. A phase II car wash is proposed along with associated site improvements, situated in the Highway Business Zoning District. The project is located on the northwest side of Montauk Highway (SR 27), east of Deerfield Road, south of Willow Road, Water Mill (SCTM No. 900-101-3-47.1).
