Monroe County - The Penfield Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Irondequoit Creek Multi-Use Trail will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of a new pedestrian/bicycle trail located along Irondequoit Creek. The project length is approximately 5000 feet, extending from Channing Philbrick Park to a future town park located near the rear of Panorama Plaza. The trail will be surfaced with stone and have a variable width from 8 feet to 10 feet. The project is located at 1717 Linear Park Dr., 765, 770 and 800 Panorama Tr. S. and 1601 Penfield Rd., Town of Penfield.

Wayne County - The Palmyra Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Palmyra Comprehensive Plan will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the adoption of a joint comprehensive plan by the Town and Village of Palmyra. The Town and Village of Palmyra have prepared a joint comprehensive plan pursuant to NYS Town Law Section 272-a and NYS Village Law 7-722. The comprehensive plan describes existing conditions, identifies issues and concerns as well as assets and opportunities in the Town and Village of Palmyra, establishes goals and recommends measures to be taken and policies to be implemented by the Town and Village to achieve the goals and to address the issues and concerns identified in the plan. The plan will be used to guide decisions on future development and land use policies and regulations, future infrastructure improvements and municipal services.

Monroe County - The Planning Board of the Town of Penfield, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Eastside YMCA. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on January 13, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the Penfield Town Hall, 3100 Atlantic Avenue, Penfield, NY. Comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted by the contact person until January 24, 2005. The action involves an application of Preliminary Site Plan approval and issuance of a Conditional Use Permit for the development of 65,500 sq.ft. YMCA facility, including parking for up to 402 vehicles. The project site is approximately 51 acres, is zoned RR-1 and RA-2, and contains a regulated State wetland. The project is located on the west side of NYS Route 250, approximately 1400 feet south of Sweets Corners Road in the Town of Penfield.
