Saratoga County - The Clifton Park Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Western Clifton Park Land Conservation Plan. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on January 18, 2005, at 7:10 p.m. at the Clifton Park Town Hall, One Town Hall Plaza, Clifton Park, New York. Written comments on the Draft Generic EIS will be accepted until January 28, 2005. The action involves the Town of Clifton Park undertaking an area-wide Generic Environmental Impact Statement (DGEIS) for the evaluation of future potential impacts of development in the western portion of the Town. Buildout of the Study Area was projected and evaluated against the current Town-wide vision for this area, refined through public involvement. Based on this analysis, a preferred growth scenario was established, which is referred to as the Western Clifton Park Land Conservation Plan. The preferred growth scenario was evaluated based on a scope of environmental issues. The project is located in the western half of the Town of Clifton Park.
