Negative Declaration

Wayne County - The Village of Wolcott, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Weager Springs Filtration Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the installation of filtration and disinfection facilities at the existing Weager Springs Reservoir Area. Project improvements include the construction of a new 2,200 square foot filtration building adjacent to the existing finished water pump station, the installation of approximately 260 linear feet of 36-inch diameter watermain, and the connection with other water system facilities. Security fencing will also be installed around the Weager Springs source. The project is designed to bring the Weager Spring source into compliance with State water quality regulations and to ensure uninterrupted water service to customers of the Village water distribution system. The project is located at the Weager Springs Reservoir Area on Auburn Street, Village of Wolcott, Wayne County, NY.

Notice Of Acceptance Of Draft EIS And Public Hearing

Monroe County - The Penfield Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed East Side YMCA. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on January 13, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Auditorium, Penfield Town Hall, 3100 Atlantic Avenue, Penfield, NY. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until January 24, 2005. The action involves the application for Preliminary Site Plan approval and issuance of a Conditional Use Permit, now amended to include Final Site Plan approval for the development of a 65,500 +/- sq. ft. YMCA facility, including parking for up to 402 vehicles. The project site is approximately 52 acres, is zoned Rural Residential-1 and Rural Agricultural-2, and contains a regulated State wetland. Access to the site is proposed via a driveway onto the west side of NYS Route 250. The project is located at 1835 and 1835-B Fairport Nine Mile Point Road, Town of Penfield.
