The Village of Hobart proposes
to increase the permitted flow to the Village Wastewater
Treatment Plant(WWTP) from 160,000 Gallons per day to 180,000 Gallons per day. A
Capacity Evaluation for the Village of Hobart WWTP has been conducted confirming
that the plant is capable of handling and treating the increase flow. Cannonsville
Reservoir, to which this facility is tributary, is subject to a Total Maximum Daily Load
for phosphorus. The phosphorus TMDL for the Cannonsville Reservoir allocates .8
pounds per day to the Hobart WWTP. The discharge permitted under the modified
SPDES permit will remain in compliance with this allocation.
