NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF PARKS, RECREATION AND HISTORIC PRESERVATION

Pursuant to Title 9, Article 54 of the Environmental Conservation Law, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation hereby gives public notice of the following:

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 49-0305 (9) of the Environmental Conservation Law, that the State of New York acting by and through the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation intends to acquire a Conservation Easement from: Great Swamp Conservancy, Inc. over certain lands located in the Town of Lenox, Madison County, New York; Landmark Society of the Niagara Frontier over certain lands located in the Town of Lancaster, Erie County, New York; Mohawk Towpath Scenic Byway Coalition, Inc. over certain lands located in the Town of Halfmoon, Saratoga County, New York and Wilton Wildlife Preserve and Park over certain lands in the Town of Wilton, Saratoga County, New York.

Negative Declaration

Tioga County - Tioga County, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Property Transfer will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a transfer of 84.91 acres, with eleven acres in the Owego/Nichols Agricultural District, from Tioga County to the Tioga County Local development Corporation, with final real property title expected to be in the possession of the tioga County Industrial Development Agency. The project is located at 130 Southside Drive, Owego, NY.

Tompkins County - The Town of Ithaca Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Country Inn & Suites Hotel will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves Subdivision Approval and Site Plan Approval from the Town of Ithaca Planning Board and Special Approval from the Town of Ithaca Zoning Board of Appeals for the proposed Country Inn & Suites Hotel located at the southwest corner of West King Road and Danby Road (NYS Route 96B), Town of Ithaca Tax Parcel No. 37-1-17.1, Business District “C”. The proposal involves subdividing off a +/- 2.74-acre parcel from the +/- 4.82-acre parcel for the construction of a 58-room hotel at the intersection. The proposal also includes 61 parking spaces, sidewalks, signage, landscaping, and lighting. The project is located on the southwest corner of West King Road and Danby Road, Town of Ithaca.
